DermaLite^SM Therapy

Hair Removal:

DermaLite^SM is effective in removing unwanted hair anywhere on the face or body. The procedure is safe, is non-invasive, and has little or no client discomfort.  It removes more hair in a single light flash than electrolysis does in an hour! And, because it does not break the skin, the risk of infection or scarring is significantly less than with electrolysis.

A computer-controlled beam of light is flashed through a quartz crystal. From there it travels through a cool gel, then through the skin and down the hair shaft to the hair root. The light energy heats the hair root and destroys it in a split-second. It can never again grow another hair in that location.

You may feel a mild sting or pinch similar to a rubber band being snapped against the skin. Most patients say it is far gentler than the discomfort associated with waxing or electrolysis. 

Treatments schedules vary with the individual.  Depending on the color of your hair and skin, the location on the body and your own unique cycle of hair growth, you can expect excellent results after and average of three treatment sessions lasting just a few minutes each.

Lasers have all kinds of wonderful uses in medicine and surgery. Some have even been developed recently to try and remove hair. The problem is that lasers produce a light of just one wavelength that may or may not be effective for everyone. Our system uses the newest in pulsed light consisting of hundreds of wavelengths which can be selected for each individual's own needs to give the best results. Lasers are therefore limited, like a radio that can get only one station. But DermaLite^SM can dial in all the stations on the radio simultaneously. DermaLite^SM technology is more versatile, faster, safer, treats larger areas with each pulse, and can be personally customized for people in almost every combination of skin and hair type. 

We certainly expect so! However, no one can offer a valid guarantee that any hair removal system is truly "permanent". Scientists require years of carefully proven research before they feel comfortable making such claims. However, many people treated with DermaLite^SM three years ago are still without any hair regrowth. We feel so certain that the hair won't come back that we caution you not to treat any area where you may choose to one day grow hair again.
